It was Dustin's first day, his eyes were closed as he opened the doof softly with his hand. His ears twitched as he heard the buzzing sound of all the machinery working. His arms crossed as he gave a light sigh. He then opened his dull eyes and pushed his glasses up on his nose. He just glanced around, taking in a deep breath. He walked to one of the benches. The teacher wanted to see his skill, so he was instructed to build any gadget he could think of. He walked over to one of the table's looking at all the parts scattered over the table. He then opened a drawer, every tool one could think of inside of it. "Heh... this'll be easy." He said with a dull tone to his voice. The faust moved his hands to a wrench, and screwdriver and started putting together random metal peices that were on the counter.
Stupid teachers and their stupid ideas, was there any method to the madness or did teachers just enjoy invoking punishments for no reason other than amusement? Lyra willed herself not to sigh as she took gentle steps around the room. Currently, she was invisible and had been for quite some time. Her instructor had spoken to the gadget’s teacher and the two decided to allow Lyra to practice her power around unknowing individuals. If she managed to walk around undetected for the class time than Lyra passed for the day: Simple no? Well, take into consideration Lyra had never stepped into the room before today and therein lays the problem. For all she knew about gadgets there could be one that could trace invisible people. Heck, the villains probably already made and sold those types of gadgets to each other. It would be just her luck to have some genius in here make one and search her out.
Carefully, Lyra edged closer to a nearby window. No one seemed to be interested in that corner of the room. She placed a hand onto the windowsill and stayed quiet. A dull voice caught her attention. Instantly, her blue-grey eyes fell upon the male who spoke the words. Lyra couldn’t help but roll her eyes. Sure, she had never seen the boy before but by the looks of it he was pretty good at creating gadgets. It was obvious he would probably pass this class. She raised her eyebrow as her eyes looked down at whatever it was he was making. It didn’t look like much. At least it didn’t seem like anything to be concerned about. Ugh, this whole thing was such a bore. With no second thought toward what the boy was doing, Lyra turned around to face the window. There were familiar faces outside and Lyra could only wish this all would end soon. Being coped up with strange looking machinery wasn’t her idea of fun. It reminded her of old science fiction or horror movies she watched as a child, which generally, weren’t very good memories unless of course, one counted nightmares as a good time.

Dustin's eyes were almost closed as he began constructing what looked to be a gun.-type object. His hands danced with a screwdriver as he scouted the area out with his ears. He didn't need his eyes to know she was there. "Invisibility only works for those who rely solely on their eyes... as I cannot see, I rely mostly on my ears..." He said, seemingly to noone in particular, though that no one knew exactly who he was talking to. He would drive a screw into it's place, half abesnt mindedly. He pulled his glasses off, setting them on the table. He opened his mouth halfway in order to let out a sonar frequency so he could see without the use of his eyes. His eyes then shut and he worked without them.
Great, so the instructor and gadget teacher sent her in here with the full knowledge that some crazy sound guy was around. Despite the boy’s words she was still invisible to all the others that were working away with their technology so basically, he just made himself seem like a mentally deranged student. Luckily, it seemed no one paid him any mind and Lyra was able to walk over to him without concern about anyone else realizing she was there. It was actually nice to have someone in the room notice her, even if she wasn’t suppose to have anyone notice her. This whole concept of disappearing for the sake of study got boring. Entertainment had to found and here it was offered to her, even if the boy didn’t quite realize what he just offered.
For a moment she stood by him in silence. Her eyes attempted to follow the movement of his hands but failed. He was simply going about it too fast yet somehow a gadget was being made. She raised an eyebrow in question but remained silent. Once the teacher had moved on to other students Lyra actually spoke. “You’re pretty good at this. It must have taken you a long time to get up to this speed and without using sight too…” Her voice trailed off as she noticed someone spare a glance their way. Hopefully that person hadn’t heard her. “You know the teacher is going to inform my instructor that you noticed me. You could have kept quiet.” It wasn’t completely his fault though since he didn’t know the teacher knew that she was around. His words wouldn’t have hold any meaning if no one else had known.

Dustin shook his head. "They have full knowledge of my abilities... I can close my eyes and talk see anything.. besides, they won't know any difference.. I always talk to myself.. I have a voice inside my head, calls himself Beelze... talks to me all the time and I could care less what people think.. isn't that right Beelze?" No one would have heard it, not even her, but the creature that he spoke to responded within the inner workings of his mind. Thou wouldst call me out? Thy who dwells within the inner sanctum of thine mind. Do Thoust care that one would think ye mad for speaking to a demon within thy mind. Dustin had an agitated look on his face. "Beelze.. I'm devoloping a way in which I can use a projectile weapon while in your form... so be happy... besides... You tick me off anyway.. it's hard enough translating your 'Ye olde English speak anyhow'..." He sighed.
