Luke slung his car keys on the table by his bed, throwing himself down onto it. He let out a long sigh. Today had been a long day. A long day indeed. He closed his blue weary eyes, feeling the warmth of his eyelids against his eyes. He could not even think about fire right now. He snapped his fingers and only a black twisted smoke appeared, drifting towards the white ceiling.
He wondered his Shawn was going through hell like he was. But, fortuanetly for him, Shawn did not have a hard elemental teacher such as Mr. Zara, a pyro like himself. Maybe listening to some music would help, thought Luke, reopening his eyes and sitting up. He walked over to his stero, costing a fortune itself, and pushed CD. He wondered what was on. He waited a second and a voice sang out. "One night yeah, and one more time. Thanks for the memories. Even though the weren't so great. He takes like you only sweeter."
How ironic, thought Luke, smiling at the lyrics being sung with the rocking guitars in the background. Luke dived back on his bed and put his white pillow over his head. The lyrics poured on him, eventually the song changed. "More than ever! I need to feel you!" the man sang. It made him think about wanting a girlfriend. But he could not deal with the pressure right now. Minutes passed and then the song changed again. Mixed CDs rocked. "Long live the car-crashed hearts. Cry on the couch all the poets come to life. Fix me in 45," the voice sang.
Luke's eyes were teasing him. They kept opening and reclosing, fighting the sleep that eventually would come. Finally the faltered. But they reopened when he heard the door open and a figure walk in.

"Darkness, imprisoning me, all that I see, absolute horror..." Shawn sang along to his music, his iPod headphone plugged in his ears. With his head bobbing to the tune, he unlocked the door to his room and turned on the lights without touching the switch. He took a few steps into the room before noticing that Luke was lying in bed.
"Whoa, sorry man! Didn't know you were in here," he apologized, pulling the headphones out of his ears. Both the lights and his mp3 player were immediately shut off. A light blue spark hovered over Shawn's index finger tip, using that as a source of light. After shutting the down behind him, the rocker quietly stepped to the side of his bed and slung his electric guitar off his shoulders. Leaning his precious instrument against the foot of his bed, he basically threw himself on the soft mattress.
"Yeah...laying down sounds like a great idea, dude," he exhaled, blowing his bangs out of his face. Shawn's day was probably just as long as Luke's. It was too much like military training, with the rise-and-repeat routine he was put through. The only way he was able to get through the day was using his beloved guitar during practice. Let Shawn rock out and he's good to go.
Shawn shut his dark eyes, enjoying the softness that was his pillow and bedsheets. The element user was able to peel his shoes off before properly crawling back into bed. Sleep is good. Mmm sleep.

Great, thought Luke, now I can't sleep. It was not because of Shawn it was because of the words he was singing whenever he had come into the room in the first place. Shawn was to Luke's right, snoring away, the iPod still blazing hidden lyrics. Luke got off his bed. He wanted to go to the rec room just to see who was in there. Of course, it would be none other than the fucking pyscho by the name of Kent. How he hated to say that word, making him cringe as the four letter word slipped into the innocent air.
He tryed to be quiet as he exited the room, but he knocked over the chair near to the door. The wooden chair fell on the hard floor with a loud thud, awakening Shawn. "Sorry man. I am going to the rec room if you want to come," Luke said, actually having a conversation without even shooting fire from his hot hands.

"Mmm?" Shawn opened one sleepy eye, spotting the blurred image of his roomie. He stretched out and gave a huge yawn, rubbing his eyes. He made sort of a grunting noise as he sat up on his bed. As great as sleep was, venting out last week's stress sounds incredibly tempting.
"Sure man, I'll go," he replied in a low, rumbling voice. He ruffled his hair and went to slip on his shoes. Packing his precious guitar back into its case, he slung it over his shoulder and stood by Luke. Notably, most of his actions were done with long drags and slight pauses. Shawn was still feeling the drag of sleepiness.
